Changes to artwork, when necessary will delay all related orders. While 4D Photo Bar assumes no responsibility for artwork quality and content, from time to time 4D Photo Bar will contact customers with questions concerning submitted artwork. In such cases orders will be produced once such questions have been resolved. In order to expedite your order, customers are requested to review their emails and reply as soon as possible. Delays in communication will lead to further production delays.

Local delivery can be arranged on an item-by-item basis depending on proximity and customer needs. Due to the high cost of shipping products to destinations outside of Aruba shipping services are currently not available. We hope to offer such in the future. Currently we can facilitate production in foreign countries with reduced delivery fees through our business partners located abroad. Please inquire by email for what services are available in what countries.

Printing requires higher resolution files (quality) than for display on a screen or phone. As a general rule images copied from websites, screen captures, Facebook & Instagram will not have the quality to be printed large. Low resolution files will result in pixelation of your prints (they will look grainy). The quality of a photos taken with a phone depend on several criteria including the software used, available light, camera sensor settings and brand of phone. Many customers have ordered large photographic prints taken with their cell phone with excellent results. Our Photo Print Order system will warn you when the resolution of your files is too low - displaying a warning triangle for the selected print size. We suggest original photographic files are sourced when available. Our Photo Gifts section does not provide warnings. For best quality results your files should have a minimum of between 180 & 300 pixels per each inch of printed width or height (the higher the better). Images used for display on screen often have a resolution between 72 and 96 PPI (pixels per an inch). In order to determine print resolution of your existing files please check your files Properties in Windows or Information in a Mac to see the number of Pixels the image has. Then divide the Pixel Dimensions by the height / length of the desired printed image size to determine the resolution. If you need any help please contact us for assistance. We recommend providing us the full size file by email for inspection for best results.
For standard photographic prints up to 8”x10” in size we recommend jpg or png images submitted within the sRGB color space (or embedded profile). For high resolution prints we can provide a share folder for customers to transfers us files. We recommend using an Adobe RGB embedded color profile. Upon request we can provide customers with media color profiles prior to submission for proofing purposes. We can accept images in DNG, PSD, TIFF, PNG and PDF file formats. For the best tonal gradation we can process up to 16 bit print files. Please do not provide files in the CMYK or ProPhoto color space or saved as 32 bits. Most of our customers do not utilize a color corrected monitor to view a ProPhoto color space correctly for editing. If you are familiar with rendering intents please indicate if you would prefer we use a Perceptual or Relative Colormetric rendering intent for print output. Color correction is available upon request for an extra fee. Additionally, we can offer image interpolation services for enlargement
For standard prints, depending on the image size chosen, images can be expanded beyond the border of a page to ensure that the entire page is covered for print. This means that text, logos and watermarks near the edges of print can often be cropped if placed too close to the edges. It is strongly recommended that all text, logos and watermarks be kept at least 1/16 of an inch (3 mm) away from the borders. In the options dialogue on checkout you can select borderless printing (which will produce slight cropping) or different size white border options to guarantee your image is not cropped during the print process.
On all sublimation products, images are printed beyond the borders of the substrate. The edges of the image will be cropped on the final product. Bleed lines are indicated on the layout templates to guarantee text and critical parts of the images are not omitted from the final product. For the edges of the sublimation substrate not to appear blank during the print process the image must cover the entire provided template, beyond the bleed lines. Bordered printing on sublimated products is not recommended, causing alignment irregularities of a few degrees on the final product due to the hand made manufacturing process.
All prints can be ordered in custom sizes. We also can leave expanded white borders beyond the size of the print for matting purposes when needed. Please email us for a quotation. For estimate purposes please check the pricing of the next size larger as a guideline for custom size pricing.
We recommend Duraluxe Metal Panels as the best choice for of any print medium to be displayed in Aruba's heat & sun. Duraluxe Metal have been tested to have negligible fading when displayed outdoors for 5 years or more. Additionally several Duraluxe surfaces can be used for floor or table/countertops. Duraluxe high anti graffiti properties make them ideal for decor being displayed in any public environment.
All Metal prints use a frameless design that offer longevity, are scratch resistant and waterproof. Compared to silver halide and dye based photo papers metal prints have increased light stability and reduced color fade. 4D Photo Bar offers 3 types of metal prints. Our standard metal prints offer increased light stability and are excellent to display prints that are not in direct sunlight. For prints that will be displayed in direct sunlight we recommend upgrading to our EXT- Super Gloss surface. These metal panels have been tested to withstand fading for up to 2 years in direct sun. For the ulitmate in light stability, 4D Photo Bar now features & distributes Duraluxe Metal Panels available in different surface treatments.
Metal photo panels have an extremely durable scratch resistant surface that is waterproof and can be cleaned easily with a microfiber cloth, household degreasers, or a damp cloth. No cleaners containing ammonia, abrasives or corrosive chemicals should be used. Metal prints are highly recommended for use in high traffic areas, Spas, Hospitals and challenging environments. Even though the surface of the print is mostly scratch resistant the edges and corners can either ding or chip. Please don’t drop your print or bang it around. In addition, ChromaLuxe photo panels are archival, fire resistant, and chemical resistant.
No one can predict the exact amount of time a print will last. 4D Photo Bar uses only top rated original archival pigment inks that have been measured to have a display life of greater than 100 years before fading will occur (depending on environment). Determining factors also include the type of paper used and where the image is displayed. Print durability testing has shown our pigment inks may last up to three times longer than traditional photographic prints or dye based prints. We do recommend hanging all prints out of direct sunlight for optimal longevity. Displaying any print on a fridge door will subject the print to premature aging due to the ozone released from modern refrigerators. You may request an optional protective coating to protect your prints from ultraviolet rays of the sun. All our canvas prints are coated with a liquid laminate UV resistant coating for increased resistance to fading. For best results we recommend framing your Giclée prints using ultraviolet filtered glass.
