Make a book you’ll love.
Designing your pages: a few helpful tips
A little sorting can save time. Before you begin, organize your photos by date to tell your story in order, or by color to find images that look good together. This makes choosing photos and designing each page quicker.
Give yourself plenty of photos to choose from. Upload more than you expect to use. Uploading simply adds photos to your project—you decide which ones appear in the finished book.
Choose a layout to suit your photos. Start with a ready-made layout package based on how many photos you’d like on each page. Try different combinations to find the best fit.
Tell the story in your own words. Add names, dates, captions, or a short message alongside your photos.
Make the finishing touches. Choose a background for your page or keep it white. Add borders if you like, and adjust the crop of each photo.
Take one last look. Review every page before ordering. Keep faces and important details away from the edges and center binding.
Tips for a great photo book
- Start with your best originals. Use full-resolution photos where possible. Keep lower-resolution images smaller on the page.
- Give your photos room. One strong image can make a page. Use a few smaller photos together to tell the rest of the story.
- Think in pairs. Arrange facing pages around a date, event, or theme.
- Check the edges. Keep faces and important text away from trim edges and the center fold.
Save often & choose your device
Save your project regularly as you design. If your internet connection drops or resets, unsaved changes may be lost. Create an account so you can save your work and return to it later.
We recommend a computer for the easiest page-by-page designing and reviewing.
How are pages counted?
Each printed side counts as one page. An open spread shows two pages.
Softcover books offer 20, 24, 28, or 32 printed sides, including the cover. Other book styles have their own included pages and extra-page options; check the selected book before you begin.

Most photo books are ready in 3–5 working days after payment. Larger orders and design assistance may need more time. If you have a gift date in mind, contact us before ordering.
